Health Promotion Activities

The Health Promotion Department provides health and wellness education, information, and resources to empower our customers to “Take on Life and Live Well.” Classes and programs are designed to help you stay active, follow healthy nutritional guidelines, and learn prevention techniques so that life-long wellness is always within your reach.

West Region (Rochester, NY)

The Wellness Center hosts much of the on-site physical activity programming and health education programs and workshops. Our center also offers a lending library for MVP Health Care members to access wellness information and programs. The Center offers health and wellness programs in the daytime, evening and weekends for the convenience of our members. In addition, we provide community outreach health and wellness programming across a nine county region to a myriad of community-based locations several times per week. The Wellness Center is located at 220 Alexander St. in Rochester, NY.

Living Well in a World of Dance

Did you ever want to dance jazz on Broadway, learn how to belly dance or do an Irish jig? Come “learn the basics” of different cultural dance forms from around the world. This innovative series will be taught by a “master” instructor in each style of dance. No previous dance experience is necessary.

There is no fee for these classes, compliments of MVP Health Care. Registration is required! Spaces are limited!
